Woodstock, ON
Meet Julie
Julie’s passion for holistic wellness began in her teenage years when she personally experienced the healing benefits of Swedish Massage. It was then that she realized her calling: to offer others a natural, nurturing approach to health and well-being. She pursued her training at the Darcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy and has been dedicated to her practice since 1994.
In 2004, Julie expanded her journey into the world of yoga. Inspired by the profound physical and mental benefits she experienced, she completed her teacher training at The Forest Academy. Her yoga path has been shaped by diverse influences, having studied with esteemed instructors in London, Ontario., Vancouver, B.C., and Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Julie’s deep commitment to learning led her to Thailand, where she has returned six times since 2008 for intensive 10-week training sessions in Thai Yoga Massage. She studied at the renowned Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai and received personalized instruction at the Blue Garden Training Centre. There, she trained under a private mentor who had studied with some of the most respected masters of Thai and abdominal massage. These immersive experiences allowed Julie to absorb not only the techniques, but also the cultural essence of Thai healing—particularly the sacredness and loving kindness that define this ancient practice.
With decades of hands-on experience, Julie has worked with clients from all walks of life, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Her background in classical vocal training brings a special dimension to her work, allowing her to guide with a calm, rhythmic presence—both in group settings and one-on-one sessions.
